Ms. Maryjoan Olisah is the visionary founder and CEO of The Mavola Group (TMG) Limited, a global brand dedicated to delivering authentic African foodstuffs, essentials, and lifestyle products to homes across the UK and beyond.
With a strong academic background, she holds a BSc in English and an MSc in Management, alongside multiple professional certifications in Change Management, Agile Delivery, Scrum Mastery, Project Management, and Customer Service. This unique combination of expertise in management, problem-solving, and people-focused service forms the backbone of her leadership at TMG.
From a young age, Maryjoan’s entrepreneurial spirit was nurtured while helping her parents in their family business. Although she always dreamed of running her own enterprise, it was her love for food, shopping, cooking, and creating solutions that inspired the birth of TMG. She recognized that what came naturally to her — producing, organizing, and solving problems — could be transformed into a business that not only fulfills her passion but also serves a real need in the community.
For Maryjoan, TMG is more than a business. It is a mission to bring African heritage and culture to every doorstep. Living in the UK, she understands the longing many Africans feel for the familiar tastes and comforts of home. “I crave so much from home, and I know many people are like me,” she says. “TMG was created to solve that problem — together, for all of us.”
